The WEII Foundation was established around a simple but powerful belief: that the experiences of resilient, progressive leaders across industry, government, academia and investment hold insights that can inspire, guide and create opportunities for skilled women seeking to build their careers and thrive.
Australia’s export, innovation and investment sectors have been shaped by people whose journeys were rarely straightforward, people who navigated uncertainty, embraced opportunity, built networks and created impact. Meet The Founder
From seeking opportunity
to creating and giving.
I arrived as a stranger and built trust slowly. I was guided by the humility of those who chose to believe in me. They became my strength. They are WEII’s Circle of Influence.
Tamanna Monem’s journey began with qualifications, ambition and a determination to build a life and career in Australia. Over more than three decades across export, innovation and investment, she has navigated uncertainty, built trusted relationships and learned first-hand how powerful the right guidance, connection and opportunity can be.
WEII was created from that experience. Inspired by the leaders who shared their insight, opened doors and believed in her potential, Tamanna founded the organisation to help more skilled women access the networks, perspectives and opportunities that can shape their own careers and contributions to Australia’s future.
