WEII was established to address a gap that has long existed in three of Australia’s most critical economic sectors — export, innovation and investment.
Many skilled women — particularly those who have arrived in Australia with qualifications, experience and drive, or who come from First Nations communities — find themselves outside the informal networks and conversations that shape careers and open doors.
WEII closes that gap. Not through programs alone — but through access, insight and connection with the leaders who have navigated these sectors, and who are ready to share what they know.

The founder
From seeking
to giving.
Tamanna Monem arrived in Australia with drive, qualifications and a willingness to knock on every door. What she found — and what it took — shaped nearly thirty years of work at the intersection of government, industry and research.
From investment attraction and export development in Queensland’s public service, to driving strategic partnerships and sovereign capability programs within statutory authorities, Tamanna built her career through persistence, relationship and the generous guidance of leaders who chose to open doors.
A stranger who built trust. Guided by the humility of those who believed in me. They became my strength. They are WEII’s Circle of Influence.
WEII is the distillation of everything she learned — and every door she had to find the courage to knock on. It exists so that the women who come after her do not have to find it alone.
